Here I am at 3:15 in the morning just after my wife feed our beautiful son Jeremiah. She hands him over to me to be burped and then I change his dipper. I am pleased to know that he again has gone pee and poo and that everything is working the way God has created it to work.
But this is where one is lonely. What if it was just my wife feeding, burping, changing dippers, and more for lil Miah. Don’t get me wrong I know that she can do it and that it happens that way to single moms everyday. But something about me being able to sit while she feeds and then allowing me the chance to help is joyful. It brings me peace, and make me sad to know that many women right now, marred or not are taking care of our babies without help from their men.
Lonely, tired, sad, worried, scared these are a few of the things our women caring for our young feel. Let’s stand up dads, men and help.

So those that have not heard my wife and I have a new addition to our family. His name is Jeremiah Everett Fitzpatrick. Born 09-11-09. At 9:33. Weighing 6 pounds 15 ounces.
Being that he is our first child I am learning alot about being a parent. I can’t always fill his needs. Some times he is hungry, tired, dipper changed, burped, or just left alone. I still feel the need to try and make everything better and that is what makes me think about how God works in our life.
Think about it our father is sitting with us trying to burp the sin of the world out of us yet what do we do, we just keep attaching ourselves to the boob of this world. We should know by now it’s not good for us like a moms boob is good for her child. Yet something about it still draws us in.
Try allowing God to burp you after being on the boob of the world. He has a plain for your life, a will, a goal, a purpose. You have been given a chance to burp up the old life and take in the new.

When others are watching you sometimes God will use your life to teach them. Take Ezekiel for example. His wife died to allow Ezekiel to go through pain and sorrow. His reaction was what the people of Israel needed to watch while they lost their groom( God ).
Wait upon the LORD when sorrow and pain comes. You don’t know who is watching you to see how you deal with it. Give God the glory, it’s his any way.
