Today the worship was great and the sermon was bouncing all around. It was really watered down as if to not offend others.
I pray that if you have hurt from divorce that you would seek God and reach out to me. Have a blessed day everyone!
Anger and defense
Jesus says we need to heal the fractures now!
Two words that Jesus uses for anger.
- impulsive anger, explosive anger
- long term anger, that always simmering anger until you blow up.
V.23 therefore!!! What's it there for?
When you give your gift... reading your bible, worship, giving.
and there remember... it comes to mind, things come up from your past or from the back burner.
That your brother has something against you... the fracture is in them,
If you want healthy relationships don't let anger have a place in the other person or yourself.
Leave you gift and deal with it...
Are you playing church or really following Jesus?
-Playing church will act as if nothing wrong!
-Following Jesus will try and heal the fractures!
You can't go back and try to make the other person see that your right. You have to just go in apologize for the wrongs, see if they have anything to say and move forward.
The only way to attain mercy is to say sorry for our sins and allow God to step in.
Who do you need to reconcile with today? Let's be the Church who stands in the gap and is praying for the fractures of ourselves and others.
I'm praying for you and your relationships that God would heal your families and friends.
Living Word Oak Harbor
We serve a God who deeply cares about the people in his kingdom!
1. Jesus know the needs in his kingdom.
- as he went through the town he knew what they needed, and this is still true today. He knows your needs, fears, hurts and the king is here to help.
What we think we need and the things we actually need tend to be different, And Jesus knows the difference.
(Prayer: is the conversation between us and God but we need to give him a chance to show us our real needs. How many times have we asked God for a bandaid for our needs when he could have heal the whole thing)
2. Jesus meets needs in his kingdom though his people!
God includes us. 9 they pray for laborers 10 they become the laborers
It's easy to look inward to see if I am able but it's hard to look outward to the one who can provide the skills needed to fulfill the needs of the kingdom.
See a need ask how can I help, not send someone to help!
3. Jesus equips His People to meets needs!
Matt 10 Jesus taught them and now he is sending them out.
Don't fear I am with you and will equips you for your journey.
WHAT IS YOUR STORY? Where is God taking you? How has he equipped you?
