You can make a difference
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. 2 And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
3 For I say, through the grace that was given me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think as to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to each man a measure of faith. 4 For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members have not the same office: 5 so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and severally members one of another. 6 And having gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of our faith; 7 or ministry, let us give ourselves to our ministry; or he that teacheth, to his teaching; 8 or he that exhorteth, to his exhorting: he that giveth, let him do it with liberality; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that showeth mercy, with cheerfulness.
1 Corinthians 12:12-31
12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is Christ. 13 For in one Spirit were we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all made to drink of one Spirit. 14 For the body is not one member, but many.
15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; it is not therefore not of the body. 16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; it is not therefore not of the body. 17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
(18 But now hath God set the members each one of them in the body, even as it pleased him.) Underline in your bible.
19 And if they were all one member, where were the body?
20 But now they are many members, but one body. 21 And the eye cannot say to the hand, I have no need of thee: or again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. 22 Nay, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be more feeble are necessary: 23 and those parts of the body, which we think to be less honorable, upon these we bestow more abundant honor; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness; 24 whereas our comely parts have no need: but God tempered the body together, giving more abundant honor to that part which lacked; 25 that there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. 26 And whether one member suffereth, all the members suffer with it; or one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and severally members thereof. 28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, divers kinds of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? 30 have all gifts of healings? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret? 31 But desire earnestly the greater gifts. And moreover a most excellent way show I unto you.
If you not part of the team you can't play for the team.
1. God is a creative God and each person is a unique creation of His.
David was being slandered by saul and others and so David wrights psalm 139 starting it out saying "Lord you know me" you know the truth. Can you say the same thing? That God knows the truth and what they are saying is not the truth. Will that be enough for you?
1 Petter 2:9
2. Recognizing our uniqueness
God expects us to use the talents he gave us
There should be an awe-ness about each of us. God made each of us differently but there should be reverence when thinking about how God made us.
3. We have a choice to recognize and embrace how God has made us.
We need to be us. Not others. Be who God made you and I'll be who God made me to be.
We all need each other but if your not being you then We all miss out...
4. Making a Difference.
We make a difference by being ourselves.
What you do matters!
5. The privilege and responsibility of using our uniqueness for God.
The world will be a better place when you become who you are.
Will you waste your gifts and talents or become what God has created you to be?
