As I read through Genesis 15 I am reminded that as I pray I do the same thing as Abram did that day. I ask what will you give me lord. I need this or that. And then I go on to say lord I need this done like this.
But I need to stop and remember who I am praying to and ask his will for my life.
Read Genesis 15 and see what God does after Abram ask what will you give me.
1 After these things the word of Jehovah came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield,[ and] thy exceeding great reward. 2 And Abram said, O Lord Jehovah, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and he that shall be possessor of my house is Eliezer of Damascus? 3 And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir. 4 And, behold, the word of Jehovah came unto him, saying, This man shall not be thine heir; But he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.
I am so happy that God never changes. He is very patient with us just like he was with Abram. Today ask God what does he want for you.
